Here are 7 Easy Growth Hacks For Boosting Your LinkedIn Presence Fast!
Here some LinkedIn info. It’s info for somebody who wants to improve their LinkedIn presence. You don’t have to agree with all and that’s ok. (sources: LinkedIn, Passle, my thoughts, Crystalknows)
Why LinkedIn matters:
– 467 million users worldwide (2016)
– 21 million users in UK (2016)
– 59% are managers or senior business executives (in UK, 2016)
– UK: 97% of all HR professionals and head hunters use LinkedIn to find people for open positions
– In general: 75% of B2B use social media to make purchasing decisions
1 Google yourself!
Google ranks social networks highly. How does your LinkedIn profile represent you?
2 Social selling index (SSI) measures the impact of your social selling efforts via LinkedIn. Get your score here
All-star profile: to have an All Star profile you have to have: Industry and postal code, Current position with description, Two more positions, Education, at least 5 skills, profile photo (professional!), at least 50 connections
3 Your Bio: People visiting your profile see only the first 2 lines (the rest is hidden under See more) – make sure the 2 lines are great!
4 Skills & endorsements: LinkedIn chooses featured skills for you. If you prefer other skills to be featured, Reorder them (it’s drag & drop).
5 Articles were posted before via Pulse, now they are written via Home -> look where you would write a post/update and see below the option Write an article. Writing an article: include photo caption or source, tag choice not below the article anymore but after clicking on Publish, you can add # and @ within the post about the article.
6 Groups: Join 3 key Groups: don’t sell right way/don’t promote yourself, try to Like and Comment on posts for e.g. 2 weeks before you try to connect with the Group members directly or post something related to your business. You have 15 free direct messages/monthly across all groups (you joined). LinkedIn data has shown that open groups (v. members-only) historically attracted a larger % of low-quality conversations (the pic with this post relates to this). Professional conversations are most effective in a private trusted space, so conversations in groups won’t be visible until you’ve joined the group.
